It's no secret that I'm a sucker for IDOCs. Back on the Lake Superior OSI shard, I camped them religiously and eventually wound up with two houses next-door just steps from the Yew gate. On Great Lakes, I started the IDOC guild (back when guild abbreviations could be 4 characters) and amassed a decent fortune doing nothing but waiting for homes to collapse. On Hybrid, I'm not quite as devoted: I no longer am willing to spend 4 or 5 hours watching one monitor out of one eye while I do something else on another screen with the other eye. But when I get word of an IDOC, I'll at least show up to check things out.
Today's story begins around 6:45PM, when Theta sent word of an IDOC near our guildhouse:

UOAM frame of reference. My position in the ocean will make sense later.
Theta had dropped some boats in an attempt to block placement once the house falls, and I recalled in to check out the scene and drop an additional boat. We spent a couple of hours holed out in the guildhouse fighting off (and unleashing the banhammer upon) a number of reds who had also come for the festivities. We'd throw down blade spirits and EVs from the roof, with assistance from the neighbor; they'd get us back with earthquakes and meteor swarms. The predominant red presence was that of SDS, Seven Deadly Sins. Alas, I've no screenshots of these antics as they were fairly routine.
The real fun didn't begin until we were just about to call it a night. Theta had to focus on Calc, Onihs wanted to devote his concentration to a boat theft he was working on another character, and me, well I had some vodka to drink. We were in the middle of saying our goodbyes for the evening when suddenly, a boat appeared from the north, bearing straight down on the guildhouse. And on that boat was an ancient fucking wyrm. Regrettably, I didn't get a screenshot of that, either - the moment we saw the wyrm, we all recalled the hell out of there, but we decided to go back and see what was happening.
We recalled back to the IDOC site only to find that the wyrm had disappeared. Onihs located it first, it had been lured off to the south. He led it back towards the house, and was killed during the effort, at which point I picked up the torch and lured the wyrm closer in. After taking a lightning and a fireball from the wyrm, I managed to hide with 3% health. I waited for the wyrm to retarget, then healed up and took the first shot:

These folks think the wyrm is long gone...

Ancient wyrm makes its way into the house

..and people begin to die, quickly.

More corpses piling up, I was happy to see Felony perish
Around this time, some idiot (or perhaps the wyrm itself) began detecting and revealing everyone who was hidden. On OSI shards, dragonkind were able to reveal hidden players if their intelligence was high enough, and naturally the ancient wyrm has the highest intelligence of all dragons. However, I suspect it was a player in this case, because every hidden character in a radius was being revealed simultaneously. That's a good indicator of someone with GM detect using the skill actively. So I moved away from the party, towards the back of the house, to get away from the detective:

Moved to a new position; many more corpses now...
Once I made it to this location, I placed a boat, directly to the east of the easternmost boat pictured. I recalled out to bank the key, then returned to the boat and maneuvered it closer to the IDOC. A fellow named Exertion was standing on shore by then, on approximately the same tile I was standing in the previous screenshot. When I backed up the boat against land, the stern abutted his tile. I thought nothing of it.
A blade spirit was cast onto my boat with the intent of killing me, so I ordered the tiller man to sail forward to buy me a moment in which to dispel. Due to a bug, Exertion (who had been standing on shore) was picked up by my boat. He began sailing with me, unwittingly, on the tile immediately behind the ship. As we headed briefly out to sea, it was obvious that he wasn't reacting like someone who had been unexpectedly pilfered by a rogue ship. He was AFK, or perhaps had fallen into the Sea Trance. Regardless, I didn't want this landlubber on my deck, so I really had no choice:

The corpse isn't on the boat. I couldn't snoop him when alive, but I could loot after the kill; ~50 each reg.

I don't have much use for a horse on my boat, either.

Returned to the IDOC.
